Amanda is a masters level counselor with experience working with adolescents and young adults with various mental health issues. She understands the challenges of adolescence and emerging adulthood and will provide a safe and compassionate place to express yourself and cope. Amanda has worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work stress, guilt/shame, domestic violence, self-harm, body images issues, and developmental disorders. Amanda graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling.
She has a special interest in helping individuals by using a mind/body/soul approach; She finds it is most effective when she and the client work together and address issues in a holistic manner.
Amanda is a Registered Yoga teacher and incorporates mindfulness and Yoga into sessions when appropriate. She believes that clients often seek counseling because they are in or approaching a dark place and that Yoga has the power to center us and bring the light back to life.
*Amanda is accepting new clients at our Jefferson Park location.
